The Global Layer 3 Edge Network Design and Engineering organization is searching for a seasoned engineer with strategic vision and IP experience to be responsible for AT&T Global Network (AGN) network architecture, design and implementation of the Internet and VPN services. Potential areas of work include: evolving the technology platforms used in AT&T network to support new service features, higher scale and capacity, including high speed access 10 GE interfaces and high speed uplinks back to AGN MPLS core, IPv6 for VPN, and/or 7513 router retirement project. When needed, resolving AGN L3 edge network escalations to the org. |

| Responsibilities include system engineering, analysis, developing detailed designs and implementation plans to support these initiatives, working closely with service development, certification team and business partners to evolve AT&T VPN and GMIS services and network design to meet the needs of new business initiatives, performing technical and economic analyses in support of technology recommendation/selection for routers; identify and driving AT&T requirements into vendors products; representing the Labs design function in project forums with other AT&T business partners. |
